Doll & Teddy Bear Show

The Patchogue Doll Fanciers Club of Long Island is sponsoring is 34th annual one-day Doll Teddy Bear and Collectible Toy Sale and Competition on Sunday, January 24, 2010.  The show is open to the public from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM and is located at that Patchogue Manor, 9-11 Railroad Avenue in downtown Patchogue, New York.

The show features a Doll Competition open to the general public with many antique, modern and children's categories.  Anyone may enter dolls in the competition, but entries must be registered by January 10, 2010.

The Competition Room will be open for public viewing from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.  Ribbons are awarded for First, Second, and Third Places and Honorable Mention in each of several categories.  Special awards will also be given.

The Competition Room provides an opportunity for viewing special, rare and unusual dolls, old and new, from private collections.  Club members will be available to answer questions and discuss dolls of interest to viewers.

The Dealer Room will have approximately 80 tables of doll dealers, specializing in antique, vintage and modern dolls with dolls for sale.  Some of the newer dolls are "artist" dolls, created by talented modern doll artists as showpieces rather than as play dolls.

There will also be a Raffle Table in the Dealer Room.  Raffle tickets will be sold for a variety of dolls created by individuals and by well-known manufacturers.  Last year we added door prizes as well.

The Patchogue Doll Fanciers Club is a non-profit organization.  The club annually donates a portion of the show proceeds to Long Island Charities, including the Ronald McDonald House and the Make-A-Wish Foundation.  The admission is $5.00 ($4.00 for seniors, free for ages 14 and under).  Food and beverages will be available at nominal cost.
